What to wear and pack
You are in a pop-up roof on open grassland, 20 minutes from town. Sun, wind, dust, and a 06:00 chill. Neutral colours. No red, no neon.
Clothes
- Khaki, beige, olive, brown, muted green
- Long sleeves if you burn
- Fleece or light jacket at dawn and on the night drive
- Closed shoes for Hippo Pools
- Rain shell in March-May and October-November
Bag
- Binoculars
- Camera or phone with a spare battery
- Sunscreen, lip balm, hat, sunglasses
- Passport or ID for the KWS gate

Half-day: that is enough. Full-day: add water beyond what we carry, and a picnic if you will not exit the park. Night drive: extra fleece, no torch of your own.
