Who we are
Nairobi National Park Tours is a tour operator based in Nairobi, Kenya. We are responsible for the personal data you share with us when you enquire about or book a tour.
The law we follow
We handle personal data in line with the Kenya Data Protection Act, 2019 and its regulations.
What we collect
When you contact or book with us we collect your name, phone or WhatsApp number, email address, travel dates, group size, hotel or pickup point, flight details for airport and layover tours, nationality or residency status where it changes park fees, and any dietary or accessibility needs you tell us. Our website collects basic usage data through analytics: pages viewed, device type and approximate location. We do not ask for passport scans or card numbers by email or WhatsApp.
How we use it
To answer your enquiry, plan and run your tour, arrange pickups and park entry, contact you on the day, keep business and tax records, and improve the website. We do not sell your data.
Legal basis
We process your data to take steps toward and perform our contract with you, to meet legal obligations such as tax records, and with your consent for anything optional, such as marketing messages, which you can withdraw at any time.
Who we share it with
Only those who need it to deliver your trip: our driver-guides, Kenya Wildlife Service and attraction operators when tickets are booked in your name, hotels or partner operators on trips you book, and payment providers who process deposits. Messaging and email services (such as WhatsApp and our email host) carry our conversations. Some of these providers may store data outside Kenya; we only use reputable services with appropriate safeguards.
Cookies and analytics
The website uses analytics to count visits and see which pages help travellers. You can block cookies in your browser and the site will still work.
How long we keep it
Booking records are kept for as long as Kenyan tax and accounting law requires. Enquiries that do not lead to a booking are deleted when no longer needed.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your personal data, object to its use, or withdraw consent. Write to us at the email below. If you are unhappy with our answer you may complain to the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner of Kenya.
Security
We keep booking details on password-protected devices and accounts and share them only with the people running your tour.
Children
We collect details of children only from a parent or guardian, and only what is needed for the tour, such as age for park fees.
Changes
We may update this policy. The effective date at the top shows the latest version.
